Thus began my
Advent preparations
in 2004.
Advent passed,
Christmas came and
went yet still to
this day I continue.
At the time, I
shared my messages
with a few friends
and family. Slowly
the list has grown
to over 400. Only
God knows how far
they fly through
forwards.
Early on, I came
to feel as though I
was coming to God
for morning meds
that would help me
stay healthy in my
day. I needed that
medicine daily, not
once a week or a
couple times a
month. Everyday;
thus came the name
“Morning
Medication”.
I began to have
the hope that
someday, they would
become a book.
Dreamily I thought
maybe I’d name it
Morning Medication;
Apothecary for the
Soul.
Will that dream
come true? I don’t
know. I only know
that when I show up
each morning, so
does God. He has
stuff to share and I
gather it in then
toss it to the wind
through the wonder
of email and now
heymj.com. I thank
my niece Dolly for
pressing me and
creating heymj.com.
I pray and trust
that through the
moments of early
morning time with
God, his simple
messages to me
continue as they
wing their way to
others who read
“Morning
Medication”. For me,
they carry the gifts
of God’s wisdom,
knowledge, hope, and
love. I learn and
receive strength for
the day ahead.
What blessing and
encouragement, when
I hear from people
who feel that a
certain
Medication must
have been written
just for them.
That’s God, the
great Multitasker;
working in me and
through it, working
in you.
Ezekiel 47:12
NKJV Along the
bank of the river,
on this side and
that, will grow all
kinds of trees used
for food; their
leaves will not
wither, and their
fruit will not fail.
They will bear fruit
every month, because
their water flows
from the sanctuary.
Their fruit will be
for food, and their
leaves for
medicine.
“Morning
Medications” flow
from the sanctuary
of God. I feel his
blessing and
inspiration as I
write and for that
reason, how can I
take credit for
them? I write what
the Author speaks to
my heart and I am
deeply grateful.
