May 31, 2007 Climb Into God’s Care “Morning Medication” by Mary Jane Davis

Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.”

We often do not know it; that we are entertaining the enemy. We’re unaware, don’t realize… Doubt and fear creep in like unwanted roaches that infest and eat away at that which God has painstakingly put in place and blessed.

Today we remember the Visitation; when Mary, young and pregnant with Jesus walked to the hill country into the arms of her elderly cousin Elizabeth. Did Mary have doubt and fear after her brave “yes” to the angel of God? I suspect so. Mary found solace and courage in the haven of her relative’s home. Loving arms and care gave Mary nurture, she became peaceful and her trust revitalized.

Turning to the truth brings solace and courage into any situation, wrapping doubt and fear in the arms of peace and trust. Redemption follows.

Father, like a little child, once again I climb into your care. Wrapped in love, doubt begins to trust…
